6th Graders: This week's events includes Parent Lunch Day. I want you to think about your parents...if you were able to take them anywhere to eat, order any type of food, and the bill would be paid for, where would you go, what would you order, and how do you think your parents would react? Be descriptive in your writings! Be sure to sign your entries with 6B/6G and your initials.

I would take my parents to Olive Garden because me and my parents LOVE it there! I would order three baskets of breadsticks, spaghetti, salad for my mom, and soup for my dad. Then for dessert I would order the chocolate turtle cake. It doesn’t sound that good, but it is made of chocolate cake with caramel and chocolate syrup running down the side with sweet white sprinkles! I think my mom and dad would be really surprised I did that for them!

I would take them to Shady Beach. I would order salad bar so I can eat and eat without stopping. I would get a lot of lettuce with French dressing. I would sprinkle croutons, bacon bits, and black olives onto the salad. I am making myself hungry as I am typing. My parents would be shocked that I could afford it (I wouldn’t pay a penny). My dad would eat and eat, then stay at Shady Beach until he is hungry again. The cycle would probably keep repeating itself until he fell over from eating so much. I would laugh.
I would take my parents to Italy, and find a very nice restaurant. I would tell them to order anything that they wanted. Of course I would be there too. I don’t know what my parents would order, but I would order spaghetti. I’m sure that I would be out of the possibility to be grounded for about two days. They would probably be over thrown with happiness. 6B-SA
Me and my parents will go to McDonalds and eat everything on the menu. My parents will be so happy that we actually get to eat out without them paying. After eating ever meal on the menu we would eat all the ice cream there is until we get sick or through up. That would be the best day ever. If I got to eat somewhere else I would eat at culvers, because my parents just love culvers. When we get there we would eat our favorite meals and pop. My parents will be happy and they would be like where did you get all this money……I would same I know somebody who pays for everything that I eat or drink he pays.
I would take my parents out to Shady Beach. That is where we usually go out to eat for special occasions. My Mom and Dad would probably have prime rib. I would have that too. We like to dip the meat in the au jus juice. My parents would like that because then they would not have to pay the bill.6B JD
If I had to take my parents out to eat, I would take them to a fantasy restaurant! Like somewhere in California or Washington D.C. If I took them to Washington D.C. I would take them somewhere by the White House. We would try to go to a restaurant that the President goes to all the time, and is a private restaurant. It would have everything thing you could dream for food and desert. We would order everything because we would not be paying for it! They would be shocked and surprised.6b-BM
If I could take my parents out to eat I would take them to Grizzly’s in Willmar. It has a big menu and their food will fill you up. It has everything from salads to meat and fish. It is a nice clean place and they even bring you out these homemade chips for free and they are spicy. It is like living in a cabin; it has wood and logs that smell like the forest. My parents would love that, because I know that it might not be their favorite place, but they would still love it. I love that place for a reason. It has nice waitresses and waiters that will get you whatever you want if they have it. 6B-ZN
If I could take my parents to somewhere to eat I would take them to Christos, a Greek restaurant. Christos is very good but expensive. They would be happy to not have to pay, but just eat. They would be surprised not to have to pay. Christos serves: pita pockets (they are pita bread rapping tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, chicken, and your choice of sauce). There are many different kinds of pockets at Christos, there are also steaks and sandwiches but they don’t have any pasta. I like to eat there. Last time I ate there I ate a whole pita rap, they’re huge! 6B AB

I would take her to Red Lobster; I think that she would like it because it is one of her favorite places to go. My mom would like to eat their lobster, and I would like to eat their lobster to. If the bill was already paid for her, I think that she would be overjoyed. Or she might want to eat at CJ’S because we mostly eat there. She might order their soup, and I might eat their popcorn. WOW, if I could take my parents anywhere in the world to eat I think I would take them to hummmm… I would take them to P.Ks in Canby! Just kidding! I would really take them to China and eat at a real Chinese restaurant. Let me tell you they LOVVVVE Chinese.
I think they would react very very surprised. They would most likely take me somewhere in return; like my favorite restaurant. Which I don’t really know what that is. But that will never happen, so I don’t need to worry about that! Ha Ha! BK-6B

If I could take my parents anywhere to eat, it would probably to Red Lobster. I would take them there because they both love to eat there and we have only eaten there once together so that would make it more fun. We would probably order the snow crab because it is normally really expensive but since it is free, it is my favorite thing on the menu and it would be theirs too, if it were free. They would be really happy and order a lot to make the moment last a long time.

I would take them to a McDonalds and buy something off the dollar menu. I would buy a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for each of us. It would probably be only like 10 dollars total. They would be amazed that I took them out to eat and not them taking me. I would ask for a Happy Meal toy for all three of us.

I would take my parents to the Old Country Buffet. We would order the most expensive thing on the menu. They would be so surprised and so full. At the end of the dinner we would be really full.

If I could take my parents somewhere to eat it would be to Burger King because Burger King has the best burgers there. Burger King in Marshall is the one I would want my parents to go to. I would order a Bacon cheeseburger because it is so good. My parents would probably order a salad. They wouldn’t have to pay the bill. I would because it’s parent’s lunch day.

If I could take my parents to any restaurant, and get them anything to eat. I would take them to the spaghetti factory in the Twin Cities. Of course they’d get spaghetti! Then I’d bring them to the Twins last game in the Metro Dome. They would have so much fun I think. It would be the most awesome time of my life. That is what I’d do for my parents, all for free.

I’m sure they would be very surprised especially when I tell them to order what they want. They would both pick burgers and fries. I would order the same and some cheesecake for all. I would bring my parents to Red Lobster. I would order the lobster of course, that’s what the restaurant’s name is, the Red Lobster. My parents would react by giving me a later bed time and some of the privileges that Eric and Tyler have.
